27th Christmas Party and the day after

Had a small gathering yesterday at wanwen's place yesterday but there were so few AES ex-mates.. but still, it was quite nice to just hang out after some time..

Saw this picture in her cupboard and it brings back nice memories of the 4 of us back in AES track :)

Since Jackie,Vanessa and myself were early, we entertained ourselves with a game I would call: Stack-the-poker-chips-really-high-and-try-to-bang-the-lowest-chip-off-to-get-a-point.. hahahaha..

Meet Stella, she's 21, she's from China and she's not shy to dance in front of everyone :) she was entertaining, and i meant that in a non-dirty way.. :x

SO, wanwen and I hang out at Orchard today and had dinner at Shokudo.. I didn't knew there was an outlet at Heeren but i think the one at Raffles is nicer..

Probably one of my top 5 favourite drink

Emu rice.. yucks.. garlic fried rice inside..

We looked at the good old 'jokes' that xiu mai (this crazy stalker girl) used to write to me/us.. yes we still keep them because they're really really funny.. always a good laugh! :D

Gonna have a chalet the next 2-3 days so i'll probably see everyone in the new year :D 2009! yay! hopefully, i'll lose all my money during CNY and get like all 'A's for my 'A's.. PLEASE!!! hahahaha :D Happy new year ppl:D
Read a quote somewhere today while shopping around: To see the rainbow at the end, we have to first put up with the rain..

HK: Mdm Tussauds :)

Mdm Tussauds Wax Museum, so we went to this museum and we made a few friends :) famous too.. haha..

Jackie Chan, too busy with the media for us to hang out..

so I hung out with Paris, my new BFF (ya right)..

Bumped into Celilia Cheung, was hoping to meet Edison too.. What a bummer..

Probably the hottest couple alive today, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie

Kylie was there :)

Madonna was there with her pointy boobs..

Andy Lau!

O edison! o wait.. It's twins..

Mr LKY :D

What a show off, and i smiled for the cam even with a silver..

Take a lesson from Jan, afterall he did taught Thomas Edison a thing or two..

Having fun with M.Munroe.. Check out her cute laughing pose..

This is the actual Mdm Tussaud.. The museum was named after her because she became famous from her own wax figures.. Interesting..

The following 2 idiot went for 'SCREAM', it's a haunted house kinda thing and it was freaking SCARY.. I don't know what came upon me but I was the one who initiated to go in 'for fun'.. hahahaha.. how dumb.. Thank god for that pinoy lady in front of me.. I kept hiding my head in her hair.. It was nice smelling :P This is probably one of my favourite pictures, because it just looks nice.. hahah.. but it's the pirated one, the kind where you 'steal shoot' from the screen when they allow you to preview the picture.. hahahaha.. Jail has nv been this fun :D
So, HK was great, as expected :D and i'm gonna go back again! and again! and again! hahahah :D

HK City Tour & Ocean Park

So we had a day of some city tour and we visited some interesting places..

First up was some place known to me as some convention centre..
That's the HK national flower because it was first discovered there, the Bohemia

Then breakfast! :D

The Peak was next, but ya, we've been there done that..

Thereafter, we headed to what i thought was the beach but it's known as Repulse Bay.. It's a very nice place.. I wanna live there :) there was some event going on but i couldn't really figure what event.. There were people running and they look really tired, like how one would look after a marathon..

Dogs ain't allowed.. BOO!!

At the end of Repulse Bay was this place that was kinda like a temple or some sort.. Pretty interesting..

There were many statues but this was the most fun.. You have to toss your coin into the fish mouth.. If you get your coin in, you're gonna 'get good fortune' or something like that.. Sometimes it goes in and slips out again.. I got it in 3 tries :) that's already considered good!! :X

Then there was this interesting bridge called the Longevity Bridge.. Apparently, crossing the bridge once will allow you to prolong your life for 3 days.. hahahha.. Believe?

The Fishing Village was next.. We had to take some sorta boat and headed out to sea and saw people living on water.. Quite the typical 'fishermen's tour'..

What was cool was the yatches I saw!! I'm so gonna own one in the future! :P

Next stop was the Jewel place (that's what I call it anyway), where we got some sort of precious stone tour.. This place brings back memories of MI and it's houses.. hahah..

Our guide: Anna

My sister answered some question correctly and won a tiny piece of garnet..

This arrow!! could it be, THE AMAZING RACE?!?

Ocean Park is one of my favourite places of all times.. There's a combination of 2 things I love, animals and joy rides.. Nice :)
There were 2 new Pandas, and 2 days before we were there, this guy actually bit it's keeper's hand thinking it was someone else.. It's ok now.. My photos are always so tiny (I don't know why), but I made this photo super big, because it's cute :)
Wee..
There was this show where guys were showing their birds.. hahaha Really!
I've been following the progress and news of the Chinese Sturgeons that are really rare now.. Only 1000 estimated in the wild.. Ocean park had 9, until one died from a barracuda bite earlier this year.. When we were there, another one died from some virus and another one fell sick too.. The park opened a new aquarium for these fishes but it was still under construction so we didn't get to see them..
This is a stupid barracuda, probably the one that bit the Chinese Sturgeon..

I conquered the Abyss again!! Woo hoo!

I bought this photo thingy that's suppose to cheat tourist off their money.. I was a willing party, it's going on my wall :)

HK Trip: Giant Buddha Place & The Peak

So we went to this this famous Giant Buddha Place on Lantou Island, pretty close to Disney. We had to take a 20min cable car ride which was really long.. and we bumped into my dad's primary school best friend and his family.. and we all know what follows, "waoh your son's so big now.. blah blah"..

The whole thing/place was called Ngong Ping 360 experience or something like that.. Fascinating..

This was the Buddha statue after 5 mins of the cable car ride..

we closed in and it became bigger..

and bigger..

from the arrival cable car station..

from here, we had to walk another distance, and we ended up eating this beautiful bowl of beancurd 'flower'.. It's really nice, soft and tasty.. yum.. *slurps*

Base of the stupid long stairway..

After the stairway..

And finally after going through the illegal reverse exit way, i got this hot shot touching the statue :) it's only more amazing if you're there.. and i saw Anita Mui's tablet thing.. cool..

Through this trip, we went up The Peak 3 freaking times.. Not that i don't like that place, but the time could have been spend elsewhere.. This brings my number tally to 4 of going up to The Peak.. Let's see...
  1. 2 years ago with the MI peeps
  2. On the 3rd day of this trip, just to 'see see' for my family.. We had freaking Burger King again(for me) when we were there..
  3. On the 4th day of this trip, part of the 'City Tour'.. Got to see the view in the day time..
  4. And on the 5th day of the trip, to get to Mdm Tussauds, the Wax museum..

I'll probably go up there the next time again.. hahaha..

Ever mesmerizing..

Jan and Tommy, It wasn't really cold in HK except for one particular night where the wind pierced badly..

Got a new shaver, courtesy of Jan and Tommy.. They won some Basketball game and won some of these, gave my dad one too.. THANKS! :D

This was night 3's supper.. I love the Vitasoy range.. They should sell it in Singapore..

From Day 3 onwards, we moved to Kimberly Hotel, which pissed my mum off because of the apparent bad-first-impression she got from their service.. But that place was ok, it's just like any other typical hotel..
BTW, it's Dad's birthday 42nd today.. An old man now.. We got this cream puff mountain to replace a birthday cake.. Nice :) HAPPYBIRTHDAY :)
